In the previous ticket vending machine, in order to allow end users to buy multiple products in one purchase, back-office operators have to pre-configure a set of static packages. This approach was not very flexible and caused administrative overhead for the operators. This workload can be now significantly reduced with the new ticket vending machine. Like nowadays e-commerce websites, we have introduced the concept of shopping cart to the new ticket vending machine. With this end users can freely make choices, add/remove arbitrary products into/from their shopping carts and complete the purchase in a single transaction. In the meanwhile, no more configuration of additional packages is necessary for your back-office operators. Packages can still serve as shortcuts for selling popular combinations. Additionally, the shopping cart concept serves as a builds the foundation for future feature extensions like cross-selling.
