Homescreen redesign
Our revamped design not only amps up the visual appeal but also guarantees a seamless navigation experience, allowing spectators to effortlessly explore all the event highlights with just a tap from the bottom of the screen. A few improvements that upgrades user experience:
- No more distraction and mixed content on the homescreen. The main "My tickets" screen has been divided into tabs based on events' status. It helps users focus on what's coming up without getting distracted by past events.
- More space for promoting event branding! Horizontal event images places on the subtle background highlights the brand of your event.
- Clear display of event name, date, time, and venue information. Date format has been improved to (dd-month-yy) match to standard that is easy to understand for most of people on the globe.
- Inclusion of event group name only if distinct from the event name.
- The app's primary color takes the lead in highlighting active components and clickable elements also on the homescreen. This consistent color choice ensures a seamless and intuitive user experience throughout the app.
Ticket redesign
Our ticket design features a visually appealing and user-friendly layout, consisting of distinct sections for easy understanding and navigation. The upper part of the ticket is designed with a distinguished color background and typically includes a QR code or a status indicator for quick validation or status updates. The lower part of the ticket also has its own unique color background and contains the main ticket details, such as event information, ticket holder information, seat or section details, and ticket terms and conditions.
In addition to the upper and lower parts, our ticket design includes an actions area, which allows for additional actions to be taken by the ticket holder. This area may include options for ticket transfer, reselling, or assignment, providing convenience and flexibility for ticket management.
Our ticket design also includes an extra information section, which can be easily located on the ticket. This section can include event updates, special instructions, or important notices to keep the ticket holder informed and engaged.
For easy reference, our ticket design features a seating map. The seating map provides a clear visual representation of the venue layout, helping the ticket holder locate their assigned seat or section with ease.
Furthermore, our ticket design may include a section on forbidden items. This section highlights any items that are not allowed within the event venue, such as prohibited substances, weapons, or outside food or drinks, serving as a reminder to the ticket holder to comply with event rules and regulations.
We believe that our ticket design provides a visually appealing, user-friendly, and informative experience for our customers, with distinguished color backgrounds for the upper and lower parts, an actions area for ticket management, an extra information section, seating map for venue orientation, and a section on forbidden items for compliance reminders. The goal of phase 1 was to redesign the ticket layout based on the previous approach (frontend change, no backend change).
Major changes to the previous approach:
- a 1-page ticket layout instead of a 2-page concept
- actions are available at a glance plus are accessible via FAB (floating action button) that has a bottom fixed position on the ticket layout
- alignment with Mobile Accessibility Guidelines
