When creating a new one you'll need to decide ifinternal or external: majority of channels are internal and it means they are linked directly to the ticketing system; in some situations (e.g. when using an integrated reseller platform) you may need external ones, which work on a system of contingents. An internal sales channel may have an operator (box office staff, telephone receptionists,etc.), or be completely self-service (ticketshop, ticket vending machine). If the sales channel does not have an operator it is linked to a virtual operator.
