Overview

Previously, while we can identify spectators or scalpers holding an implausible quantity of tickets, we were unable to inhibit the transfer of these tickets to secondary purchasers, aside from manually deleting these tickets. We have now introduced a new feature, allowing you to lock (and unlock) spectators preventing them to do specific actions from the mobile wallet (branded app only).

What does it means for a spectator to be locked or unlocked ?

Once locked, a spectator is prohibited from transferring, assigning, or reselling any of his/her tickets.

Once unlocked, a spectator can perform transfer, assignment or resale of his/her tickets according to the current configuration (application & ticket level settings).

By default, all spectators are 'Unlocked'.
Spectator's Lock status superseeds any transfer rules available on the tickets he/she holds.
Locking/Unlocking a spectator is a manual task.
The restrictions are applied at mobile app level only, meaning that existing pending transfers can still be completed, either being :
- accepted or rejected by the recipient (if transfer approval is enabled)
- cancelled by the sender

Who can lock/unlock a spectator ?

Only back-office users with ADMIN role can lock or unlock a spectator.

How to know the 'lock' status of a spectator ?

	Spectators list	Support > Spectator
Locked	Right after the e-mail address, a lock icon will be displayed if the spectator is locked	In the spectator section, a warning message will be displayed if the spectator is locked
Unlocked	No lock icon after the e-mail address	No warning message

How to lock a spectator ?

Only an unlocked spectator can be locked by a back-office user with ADMIN role.

To do so, please go to the Spectators list screen and search for the spectator you want to block.

In the Actions section of the grid, click the lock icon

Please confirm or abandon the locking action by clicking the adequate button.

Once locked, a new lock icon appears after the email address and the Lock action is replaced by the Unlock action.

How to unlock a spectator ?

Only a locked spectator can be unlocked by a back-office user with ADMIN role.

To do so, please go to the Spectators list screen and search for the spectator you want to unblock.

In the Actions section of the grid, click the lock icon .

Please confirm or abandon the unlocking action by clicking the adequate button.

Once unlocked, the icon after the email address disappeared and the Unlock action is replaced by the Lock action.
