Software versions on user workstations
SecuTix supports Windows Vista/7/8/10.
In order to simplify your management of software supported by SecuTix, a package by language, including the supported versions of Firefox and Java, is available. Note that the package for Matterhorn V1 is initially the same as for Dufour V3. Links to the release notes of SecuTix Dufour V3 are at the related page. A new version of the package will be provided later.
These packages are "portable", i.e. they do not need to be installed, but simply unzipped. The firefox.bat file must then be run.
SecuTix follows the development of the Firefox browser and allows you to enjoy the improvements and latest security patches:
- Matterhorn V1 is thus compatible Firefox version 38.6.1ESR.
- As announced, Firefox version 31.6.0 ESR and lower are no longer supported and should not be used.
The same goes for the development of the Java platform:
- Matterhorn V1 is therefore compatible with Java version 1.8u74.
- As announced, version 1.7u80 and lower are no longer supported and should not be used.
The compatible versions of the software on user workstations are summarised in the table below. Compliance upgrades to customer workstations equipped with outdated versions should be performed by the next version.
Software | Unsupported versions | Deprecated versions | Supported versions |
---|---|---|---|
Windows | XP and prior | Ø | Vista / 7 / 8 / 10 |

Note:
- The general use Firefox browser follows a pace of new releases and an inadequate support period for the corporate world. For this reason, Mozilla has created a version of its Firefox browser called Firefox ESR (Extended Support Release) that relies on the browser's standard versions and meets the specific requirements of the business world. For more information, see: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/faq/.
- On the first use of SecuTix after installing the new version, it is advisable that the browser cache be cleared: Tools menu / Options / Advanced tab / Network / Clear Now
- It is also recommended that the Java cache be cleared: Control panel / Programs / Java / General / Setting / Delete Files
- Note that when first using the application, new versions take some time to load numerous components (e.g. layout editor). It is advisable to wait until they are fully loaded without forcing a page refresh.
