Intelligent email spell check validation (mobile transfer)

Email addresses are crucial to the ticket transfer process, good news for our mobile app users, we're excited to roll out an innovative email validation feature.

Spotting the tiny typo devils

While on the go, we all sometimes make tiny typos on our mobile keyboards, especially when typing out email addresses. Who hasn't accidentally typed "julie@gmal.com" when they meant "julie@gmail.com"?
Our branded wallet app now boasts a nifty feature to catch these small slip-ups.

Think of this tool as a keen-eyed friend peering over your shoulder. If you happen to type something that closely resembles "gmail.com" or another well-known domain but with a minor mistake, our mobile app will gently hint at the likely correct version.

It's akin to having a spell-checker, but exclusively for email domains. And there's more! Our app will also highlight email addresses containing unusual characters that might not be widely accepted, ensuring that your emails are always in the right format.

Please note that these validations are non-blocking, while we provide suggestions to review, if the sender is confident in the entered e-mail address, (s)he 'll be able to proceed with the transfer.

Special characters

Domain typos

Supported domains

Once entered, the e-mail address will be assed against a list of predefined domains used for well known e-mail service provider, such as "yahoo.com", "google.com", "hotmail.com", "gmail.com", "me.com", "aol.com", "mac.com", "live.com", "comcast.net", "googlemail.com", "msn.com", "hotmail.co.uk", "yahoo.co.uk", "facebook.com", "verizon.net", "sbcglobal.net", "att.net", "gmx.com", "mail.com", "outlook.com", "icloud.com" and also top level domains "co.jp", "co.uk", "com", "net", "org", "info", "edu", "gov", "mil", "ca".

How to enable it ?

A new admin tool setting key has been introduced: "Email checker feature" (enable-email-suggestion) to enable/disable the feature.
Two crowdin labels for adjusting the banner message are also necessary :

  • warning_email_special_character : Email address contains special characters. You still can process with transfer but at your own risk
  • warning_email_has_suggestion : Provided email address might be wrong. You still can process with transfer but at your own risk

What about your branded app ?

  • For mobile apps built after this delivery of this feature, changing the setting key will be enough
  • For mobile apps built before this delivery, please reach out to the Profesional Service team in order to request a new build of the app

Screenshot Protection enhancement for iOS

Previously, on iOS when a screenshot was taken from Ticket details post-activation, only the QR code was truncated.

After this release, when screenshot protection is enabled, any attempt by a user to take a screenshot or record a video within the app will result in capturing a complete black screen.

This protection is universally applied throughout all sections of the app, irrespective of the specific view or screen.

Redesigned Home Screen: Introducing the "My Tickets" View

What's new:

Our homescreen design has been elevated to provide spectators with a more organized and efficient way of perceiving event schedules. We're introducing redesigned event cells which now offer:

- More space for promoting event branding - horizontal event images
- Clear display of event name, date, time, and venue information.
- Inclusion of event group name only if distinct from the event name.

All warning informational banners also boasted a refreshed and engaging appearance by gradient background color and subtle pumping animation of icon.

The app's primary color takes the lead in highlighting active components and clickable elements also on the homescreen. This consistent color choice ensures a seamless and intuitive user experience throughout the app.

⚠️ Important! Dimension of event image changed from vertical to horizontal -> 5:2. Suggested resolution: 500x200px

What's on the Horizon:

But there's more to wait! We love keeping you on the edge of your seat, so we're thrilled to tease about an upcoming feature that's just around the corner.

Upcoming and Past Events Section: We know how important it is to differentiate between upcoming and past events. That's why we're working on two dedicated tabs: "Upcoming Events" and "Past Events," offering a clear and straightforward experience.
