Why should organizer use it?

  • This feature help to provide a more flexible and customizable experience for organizers where they can have different application settings for each event instead of always following the one and only configuration set at application level.
  • Under each event detail edit, organizer can easily set event level setting for one more multiple keys which they want to be different from the app level setting. The new values after being saved will override the default or application level value for that specific event.

How it works?

  • All event-specific settings are placed under Editting Settings of Event Edit screen. The change on a specific event shouldn't affect any other events.

  • This will allow you to override the default settings for each event. Depending on each setting, the new value can be as below:

  • After saving the event-specific settings, they are expected to override those settings of app level

  • If the event-specific settings doesn't exist, the fall-back to the default settings will be applied.

  • The setting from event level can be removed by clicking on the delete icon on the right column

  • So far, the list of overriding keys are limited to 9 keys as above.

  • Once choosing a key from the list, organizer will know:
  • For keys that have no application setting level, it means those keys are newly added and don't have an app configuration level.
    • Green activation screen - URL image: to define the image/gif to display on footer part of green activation screen
Value must be follow format: #FFFFFF
    • Green activation screen - Footer color: to define the color of footer part of green activation screen
Value must be follow format: .png, .jpeg, .gif

  • By default, settings are taken from either settings page or default on app level:

  • Go to Editing Settings section

  • Click on Add more keys to override and pick one from the drop-down list

  • Under value for this event, select the new value you want to apply
