This page details how to configure the bulk distribution within the B2B Portal which allows users to upload a file containing contact details in order to distribute tickets for an event on mass.
To enable the functionality on the B2B Portal for your organisation, ensure the following are configured:
- Enable Import button for B2B Sales Channel:
- B2B Sales Channel > Point of sale > Internet Theme > Advanced
- Add 2 labels/settings
- distribution.importTicketDetail.interfaceTypeCode - TikHold
- distribution.importTicketDetail.interfaceFunctionCode - ImTikDis
- Note. This functionality works with activateAdvancedView set to True or False.

- B2B Sales Channel > Point of sale > Internet Theme > Advanced
The process works as follows:
- Partner logs onto B2B Portal as usual
- Partner navigates to “Distribute your tickets”
- Partner selects “Ticketing Dashboard” for the event they wish to distribute tickets for
- From this screen, you can see an overview of the tickets allocated to the logged in partner for the selected event.
- Select the type of tickets you wish to distribute in bulk using the checkbox on the left side – this is used to determine which tickets details we will export.
- Once selected, select “Export Ticket Details”. A spreadsheet will be downloaded to the local machine.
- Open the file in Excel and enable editing.
- Enter the email address, first name and last name of the ticket holder who will receive the tickets. This information should be entered into the columns [NEW] CC Email, [NEW] CC first name & [NEW CC last name].
- Any tickets you do not change will not be distributed. A full overview of the fields to edit and how we distribute tickets can be found below:
- Once you’ve updated the rows of tickets you wish to distribute, save the record and return to the B2B portal.
- Select “Import Ticket Details” then using the pop-up, find our file.
- Select “Import”. The system will now distribute the tickets and provide a quick summary once complete.
- If you have another file to process, select “Import” again to add a new file. If not, select “Close”.
- An email is distributed to records who have been distributed tickets. This is the “Ticket ack/acknowledgement” document type in the back office and will need to be fully customised.
In the background, when a file is uploaded for import, we process this using a “Ticket holders import batch”. It’s possible to view this batch and the executions via the back office:
- In Secutix back office go to Organisation >> Tools >> List of Batches >> Ticket holders import batch
- Open the record & navigate to “Executions”. You will be shown all of the previous executions.
- Opening an individual line will show you more details including all the detail shown on the review screen on the Portal.
It’s also possible to manually complete the import of the Bulk Distribution file directly in the back office. This is completed by:
- In Secutix back office go to Organisation >> Tools >> List of Batches >> Ticket holders import batch
- Open the record & navigate to “Schedules”.
- Open the existing “Import distribution of ticket owners” schedule
- Upload your existing file – Note, this should be in an identical format to the file used for distribution via the B2B Portal.
- Select a Season, the Sponsor (Structure who is distributing the tickets), a sales channel and point of sale.
- Once complete, select “Immediate Execution”.
- You can view the state of the import by navigating to Executions.
