Organisation | Goods | Families

Pre-requisite: none

Aim: creating Families values that you will use to classify your goods products

Description: Families are used to group Goods product together, usually based on their main characteristic. A goods product can only have 1 family (or sub-family), and this is a mandatory field for any goods product.

Families values are displayed online when using the Goods dedicated page on the ticketshop.

In the image below, Books, Stationery and Games & Toys are families.

The rank determines the ranking of this family in the list. On the previous image, Books was ranked 1 while Games & Toys was ranked 3.

The image is no longer used.

If your Goods catalog is big, you can also divide each Family in sub-families in order to perform sub-groupings of Products. Then you will be able to link a product directly to the sub-family.

Example : you could have a family Clothes, that you will divide in sub-families Trousers, Sweater, T-shirts, socks...

As any Goods product value, the setting really depend on your catalogue and how you usually classify your products.
