Cross-organisation loyalty products

Partner organisations

The institution may define inter-organisation partnerships. These partnerships allow associated organisations to create cross-organisation loyalty products without having to refer to the organisation at the institution level.

If A is a partner organisation of B, then B is a partner organisation of A.

At the moment, this notion of inter-organisation partnerships is only used when setting up cross-organisation season tickets and memberships. However, it may have a future use for other inter-organisation or cross-organisation functionalities.

Cross-organisation season tickets

SecuTix allows the creation of cross-organisation season tickets. However, these season tickets may only be created by an organisation at the same level as an institution. From now on, an organisation may create subscriptions that include events managed by a partner organisation. This is how to set it up:

  • The institution defines organisations A and B as partners.
  • Organisation B defines event E as being part of a cross-organisation season ticket.
  • Given these two points, organisation A can now create a season ticket that includes event E. Of course, this season ticket grants access to all the other events staged by organisation A that are defined as being part of a season ticket.

Comment: The definition of cross-organisation season tickets by an organisation at the same level as an institution is not affected by this new feature.

Cross-organisation memberships

SecuTix now allows the definition of cross-organisation memberships. This is how to set it up:

  • The institution defines organisations A and B as partners.
  • When organisation A defines a new membership, it must decide if this membership is only valid inside its own organisation or is equally valid within its partner network (in our example: organisation B)

  • A cross-organisation membership may be used for sales either at the box office or online.
  • If a cross-organisation membership is defined as valid for an entire season, it is only valid for the period between the start and end of the season in which it was defined. For example: a membership is defined during a season that begins on 1 September 2018 for organisation A and ends on 31 August 2019. This membership is also valid in organisation B, which offers a longer season, starting on 1 September 2018 and ending on 31 August 2020. This membership will no longer be valid from 1 September 2019, even to purchase products from organisation B.
