Modify room zones that are already on sale
You can now create, modify and remove zones from the physical configuration both during and after the sales period. This configuration change is then propagated to the logical configuration and the associated performances/matches (a screen displays the list of performances affected by the change).
Numbered zones
You can create new numbered zones or remove existing ones in the physical configuration plan editing screen. When you create a new numbered zone, the status of the seats associated with it remains ‘Invalid’, without being attached to a quota. So operators must manually validate the seats to prevent sales from starting as soon as the zone has been created. You can only delete a numbered zone if the status of all its seats is ‘Invalid’. Deleting a zone also deletes the blocks associated with it.Â
Unnumbered zonesÂ
You can create new unnumbered zones or modify or remove existing ones in their physical configuration screen (either in the ‘Physical zones’ screen or the physical configuration plan editing screen).
When you create a new unnumbered zone, its entire capacity is set to ‘Invalid’, without being attached to a contingent. To put a new zone on sale, operators must manually validate it to confirm the default seat category assigned by the system (the highest seat category available for an unnumbered zone) and to confirm the contingents.
You can only delete an unnumbered zone if the status of all its seats is ‘Invalid’ for all the corresponding logical configurations and sales.
When modifying existing unnumbered zones, the following rules apply:
- There must be no restrictions on adding quotas. As for a new zone, the status of the new seats must be ‘Invalid’ and they must not be linked to a contingent. The seat category of the new seats must be the same as for the existing zone.
- When reducing a quota you can only remove seats whose status is ‘Invalid’. For example, an unnumbered zone has a specified quota of 1,000 (300 seats are ‘Invalid’ while the other 700 are linked to a specific contingent and are available for sale). If an operator wants to reduce the quota to 500, the system will refuse, because they are trying to remove 200 seats that are already on sale. Therefore, the quota can only be reduced to 700.
