RELEASED in V2.2 Want to offer a simple and seamless mobile experience for your ticket fulfilment? Standard Mobile Ticketing (SMT) lets your customers access their tickets instantly, displaying the QR code right after purchase. SMT is optimized for mobile and can be easily shared without the need to create an account.
Solution
Standard mobile ticket is an optimized for mobile web-display replacing the old electronic pdf ticket or print@home.
Tickets are displayed immediately after purchase directly on the confirmation page, ready to be presented at access control, optimizing the experience of last minute purchase at the venue from a phone. No need to stay in line at the box-office.
The link (and passcode) to your tickets is also provided in the confirmation email, optimizing the experience of displaying the tickets bought a few days before the event. No need to remember the username and password and log in on a portal.
The link (and passcode) to a single ticket can be easily shared to a friend using your preferred messaging system, optimizing the experience of sharing a ticket with a friend. No need to create an account for the friend.
The digital tickets are also available in the portal under the “My tickets” page.
Getting started
Configuration
Standard Mobile Ticketing (SMT) can be set-up in a few simple steps.
In the Tools module of the institution context, create an digital ticket template using the new digital ticket template editor.
In the ticket models of the organization context, assign the digital ticket template to the relevant ticket model. Note that additional physical ticket templates can still be configured in the model variants, e.g., to define thermal ticket templates or a pdf print@home tickets available on top of the SMT.
In the parameter tab of the Characteristics screen of the sales channel entity, an electronic (or print@home) shipment mode must be selected to be available in the portal.
In the point of sales parameters of the sales channel, enable the QR-codes to be displayed in the ticketshop using the “Show e-ticket barcodes” parameter set to “QR”.
The confirmation email document must be configured to display the SMT link and passcode using the following email template variable: $ticketSmtAccessCode (displayed when $showTicketSmt = "True"). Those are available in standard template.
SMT is available for all product families.
SMT will be displayed for Electronic (and Print@home) shipment modes only.
The link and passcode do not expire. Access to the tickets remain possible using the link in the confirmation or any link to an individual ticket shared separately for any period of time.
Adding to apple Wallet and Google Wallet require the Néostore activation. Without Néostore, the “add to wallet” is limited to iOS devices using PASSBOOK file in Model Variant.
Ticketshop
In the ticketshop, standard mobile tickets can be viewed from 3 different places:
Confirmation screen: SMT tickets are displayed automatically after check-out in the confirmation screen.
Personal space: After logging in the portal, SMT tickets can be viewed from the “My tickets” page.
Confirmation email: The confirmation email will provide a link (and passcode) to directly view the tickets without having to log in.
Using the share icon in the top right corner of the ticket or the “share ticket” button at the bottom of the ticket, the user can share the link (and passcode) to a single SMT ticket. The link is copied to the clipboard and can easily shared using any messaging system. After clicking on the provided link, the recipient of the ticket will be prompted for the passcode to be able to view the ticket. The passcode prompt is protected against brute-force attacks by a progressive failed-attempt delay.
The SMT layout can include the following buttons:
Download PDF: this button will be displayed if a PDF template has been configured in the model variant of the ticket model.
Add to Google/Apple wallet: this button requires Néostore activation or the configuration of a passbook file in ticket variant (for iOS only).
