PeakProtect time zone configuration

PeakProtect time zone configuration

ReLEASED IN V2.1 Operating shop openings in different time zones? Queue scheduling has been made easier by allowing defining time zone configuration for each queue.

Solution

PeakProtect (PKP) now includes a time zone parameter that can be configured at the queue level. Once set, shop scheduling can be managed using the shop’s “local” time. Operators can then choose to work with the local time zone of the queue or their own time zone. The former is best to configure the queue and avoid mistakes, the latter is useful for the operator to check when the different stages of the queue are scheduled with respect to his/her own time zone.

Getting Started

Shop Configuration

In the Setup page under Basic Setup, the time zone can be set a the queue level. You can create a service request, if you are not the administrator of the queue.

Once a time zone is set, all time selection fields will display a dropdown reflecting the selected time zone.

The dropdown provides two options:

  • The time zone set at the queue level

  • The user’s own time zone

If no time zone is selected, the system will fall back to the user’s current time zone

Once set, shop scheduling can be managed using the customer’s local time. For example, a shop opening at 11:00 for a sales of an event occurring in New York can be scheduled directly at 11:00, rather than having to be converted to 17:00 by an operator working in GMT+2. Simpler and less error-prone.
